If you're newer to the ARPG genre, you'll be introduced to what Diablo 4 calls the 'Eternal Realm' vs the 'Seasonal Realm'. What does this mean to you? If you're a hardened veteran of Sanctuary, it means you already know the drill and what to expect. One thing new ARPG players will learn about seasonal mechanics, though, is that sometimes they make it into the core game (the Eternal Realm in Diablo 4). With new seasons you usually get something really cool-whether it's the Crucible Weapon Trees in Path of Exile 3.21 or the Rites of Sanctuary that came with Season 28 of Diablo 3. To players coming from Diablo 3 and Path of Exile this was an exciting moment.

The reveal finally happened, Season 1 of Diablo 4 has been announced, and we got a glimpse of what to expect on July 20th.
